Goings On at Hagerman & Company, Inc.
Many New Initiatives Now Underway!
We are expanding our product offerings throughout the
company. Some significant new hires are on board. We are
responding to the recession by finding new ways to serve our
customer base. Here are a few examples:
P&ID Software ? We?re proud to offer Autodesk?s new
P&ID software, which we will be marketing nationwide. P&ID
is used by customers who move fluid of any type through
pipes. Oil and gas are primary examples, but also things
like beer, milk, and chemicals require the design of piping
and instrumentation. All Hagerman sales reps and solutions
engineers are involved in this initiative and David Cruze of
our Knoxville office is heading up the technical support for
this product. David has extensive experience with P&ID
before coming to Hagerman. Joe Riley in Indianapolis will be
our dedicated sales rep for the product.
Most Autodesk customers currently use AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT
for P&ID applications. The new P&ID software gives them much
enhanced capabilities, specifically designed for this task.
If your design work involves P&ID, please give us a call to
find out more about this great new product. |

Ecotect Analysis Software ?
Ecotect Analysis is
Autodesk?s new software that enables designers to analyze
their architectural designs for energy efficiency and carbon
neutrality. It also enables them to view the effect of sun
and shadow on their buildings, before they are constructed.
In connection with this new offering, we have hired Scott Schuette, LEED Accredited Professional, in our St. Louis
office to assist our customers with the implementation of
Ecotect Analysis and their LEED projects. LEED is an acronym
for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design,
established by the Green Building Council. We?re pleased to
be able to offer LEED consulting services to our clients and
assist them with the implementation of Ecotect Analysis in
their practices.

SugarCRM - We have become a reseller for SugarCRM,
the world?s leading open source CRM software. We are also in
the process of implementing it for our own use. Open
source is one of the leading initiatives in the software
world, enabling companies or individuals to acquire software
for free and develop their own implementations based on it.
It has led to considerable advances in the quality of
software. While SugarCRM can be freely downloaded and used,
and millions of people have done so, the commercial version
developed by SugarCRM is available only through authorized
resellers such as ourselves, who assist with implementation
and customization. We look forward to increasing our CRM practice with this
highly regarded product.
We should add that it can be implemented either as a local
LAN- or WAN-based solution, or in hosted, on-demand format.

Government Sales - We?re expanding our dedication and
commitment to government customers by expanding our sales to
local, state, and federal buyers. In this regard we?ve
expanded the Chicago staff to include a dedicated government
sales representative - Eliot Costianis, who is a successful
and experienced government sales executive. Eliot spent five
years in CDW?s government sales operation in Chicago,
selling many types of technology, including AutoCAD, to
government buyers. He?s working now in our One East Wacker
office and is making great headway in this new position.
Eliot is handling Illinois and Indiana government business,
and we?re also ramping up government sales efforts in
Missouri and Tennessee with the existing sales staff in
those states.

MCAD in Southern California ? We?re changing the game
in Southern California with the addition of industry veteran
Bob Coan to our staff in Anaheim. Bob developed an
outstanding Autodesk business in Southern California in the
80s and later became the world?s largest reseller of Solid
Works, selling from four offices in that area. He ultimately
sold the reseller business, but has now decided to return to
the CAD industry and has chosen to work for the outstanding
Autodesk reseller in Southern California, Hagerman &
Company, Inc. Bob is particularly impressed with Autodesk?s
digital prototyping strategy, which is displacing many of
the current solid modeling contenders around the world. We
welcome Bob to the team and look for great success as he
renews his acquaintances with many of the top firms in
Southern California. |

How can we help you? If any of the above piques your
interest, please give us a call. We?re all about helping
customers increase productivity.
