Matt Lane With the release of Productstream 2008, Autodesk has
added enhancements to its low cost Productstream Reviewer
and Productstream Explorer modules, making them an excellent
addition to any standard Autodesk Vault deployment. As a
result, we strongly encourage our existing Vault customers
and those considering implementing Autodesk Vault to take a
look at what these products can do for you.
Productstream Reviewer’s engineering change capabilities give users the
ability to track, audit, and monitor engineering change orders, remove
process bottlenecks, approve or deny changes and improve the efficiency of
the engineering change process. Built-in forms provide standard and
user-defined ECO information to participants for review, approval, or
printing, helping to reduce errors associated with paper-based processes and
to help ensure that decision makers have access to complete product
information.
In addition, Autodesk has released the new Productstream Replicator
module as an add-on to both Vault and Productstream. The module is designed
for companies that need to share AutoCAD, Inventor and other file types
across multiple design and/or manufacturing locations in a timely and
synchronized manner. The Productstream Replicator provides global sharing of
common designs via automatic synchronization of check in/check out
operations and file changes across vaults at multiple company sites and
helps ensure that all designers are working from the most current design
while still providing them with the benefits of local storage and
performance. Productstream Replicator is the most cost-effective multi-site
replication product we have seen available on the market.
For more information on any of these Productstream options, please feel to contact me directly or your local Hagerman & Company representative. In addition, we will be conducting Webex demonstrations of these products on: Thursday, August 2 at 1:00 p.m. CDT Tuesday, August 14 at 1:00 p.m. CDT |
