Google Earth Extension Now Available for
AutoCAD 2008-Based Products

The Google Earth™ Extension for AutoCAD® 2008, AutoCAD® Architectural 2008, and AutoCAD® Civil 3D® 2008 software applications is now available for beta testing on the Autodesk Labs website, at http://labs.autodesk.com.

This publishing tool is designed to specifically meet the needs of architects, designers, and engineers using Autodesk products. With the easy-to-use, wizard-driven interface, users can publish their 3D models directly from AutoCAD into Google Earth.

From the planning process all the way through to public approval, everyone involved in a project can now view and navigate it in the context of the rich, interactive Google Earth environment. Other benefits allow you to:

  • Deliver high-impact presentations at planning board meetings or public hearings

  • Streamline the preliminary project planning process

  • Share conceptual plans with clients as they develop

  • Connect everyone involved in a project from the planning stage through to public approval

To access this extension at Autodesk Labs, go to http://labs.autodesk.com.  To obtain a copy of Google Earth, visit http://earth.google.com/.
