On April 16th of this year, Cyco Software announced a new company name and corporate identity. The new company name is BlueCielo ECM Solutions. In addition, BlueCielo has retired the name “AutoManager” from its product line. As a result, AutoManager Meridian is now InnoCielo Meridian Enterprise and AutoManager TeamWork is now InnoCielo TeamWork.

In terms of explanation, the word “cielo” means “sky” in a number of languages and reflects BlueCielo’s status as an international company with the goal of connecting everyone in an organization together regardless of location or department. “Inno” denotes BlueCielo’s commitment to continuous innovation and product development. “ECM” stands for “engineering content management”

In addition, BlueCielo made the decision to change their company name in order to break away from the old limited market perceptions associated with the names “Cyco” and “AutoManager”. Due to their longtime association with Autodesk, a common market misconception is that the products are only for engineering departments to use for managing CAD files. Today, BlueCielo software can:
bullet

Manage CAD data from SolidWorks and Microstation along with Autodesk

bullet

Serve as an enterprise solution and integrate with and manage files from any other application for users in any company departments

bullet

Automate company workflows for all company departments with full e-mail integration, due dates, time limits, reminders and warnings

bullet

Share documents via the Internet in a totally secure environment

bullet

Integrate with other company databases, ERP and other business systems, maintenance systems and enterprise content management solutions such as Documentum and Microsoft Sharepoint

bullet

Automatically synchronize and replicate files across all company locations

BlueCielo’s new strategies are paying off handsomely, and the company is enjoying outstanding success in the marketplace. BlueCielo’s revenue grew approximately 25 percent in 2006 with 2007 growth promising to be even higher. BlueCielo has been winning new accounts in many areas including manufacturing, energy, utilities, transportation, AEC, government, health care and more.

At Hagerman & Company, we have been extremely pleased with BlueCielo’s direction and have experienced great success as well. In 2006, we were BlueCielo’s largest reseller in the world, thus duplicating our 2004 achievement. In addition, due to our outstanding service and support, BlueCielo has asked us to take over additional customer accounts across the United States and Canada that were previously assigned to other resellers who have not been servicing them up to standards.

If you have any questions about BlueCielo or data management in general, please don’t hesitate to contact us. In addition to handling BlueCielo, we are one of the largest implementers of Autodesk Vault and Productstream in the country and can work with you to determine which product line is the best fit for your organization.
