One of the less-publicized areas of expertise that we have within Hagerman & Company is our computer programming skills, which include consulting and analysis, system design and architecture, coding, database integration and mentoring client personnel. We currently employ four highly-experienced and skilled software programmers who have been involved in successful client projects.

Some of the recent projects we have completed or consulted on include:

-Numerous client projects involving upgrading existing AutoCAD customizations including custom menus, blocks, AutoLisp and Visual Basic applications in order to support the latest version of AutoCAD.

-Development of an automated application to do a mass update of more than (100,000) customer drawings to properly reflect changes to the client’s part numbering scheme. (This type of application could be easily applied to any other required drawing updates or data extraction.)

-Assisting a manufacturer of rescue vehicles to develop an automated system for the generation of detailed proposal and specification drawings for specific customer needs.

-Developing an AutoCAD-based item tagging and bill of materials generation application for a structural steel fabricator, inclduing full integration with the client’s ERP system.

-Assisting a client in extracting their data from a legacy ERP and migrating it to a standard Microsoft SQL Server database where it can be queried and reported on in a “read-only” mode.

-Developing AutoCAD customization in Visual Basic to automatically generate schedules/takeoffs of restaurant equipment and related components to fit the different requirements of each of our client’s different customers.

-Autodesk Inventor VBA programming and automation to assist a customer in dramatically reducing their required drafting and detailing time.
